I fought zombies.
I fought the dead.
I fought them all ’til I went mad!
Dodge all the demons.
Sprint out these halls.
No beg for mercy.
Safe havens a fool.
With bullets and blood I see plenty to kill.
All around is a heart rending thrill.
Poisoning my character.
Making me turn grey.
Before this world changes I’ll be severing away.
Rush from a city.
Break down your walls.
Hunt for some safety.
Its all a false cause.
With ghosts always lurking right over my head.
Feeling them haunt no matter my bed.
As blood turns cool.
I separate in vain.
Sleep a moment to long and you’ll be robbed of your brain.
Back out the fray.
Here you do not lay.
Spinning in circles.
My skins going purple.
From all the menace I have refused to abide.
Pity all these monsters haven’t been fried.
Right at the start.
I would’ve saved more.
Sadly the suits thought it was better be crawl.
Pierced by mortality.
Vented out a spleen.
Caught in a spin cycle.
Our world has no green.
We caused this scar that did not need to be.
Forced suffering made heartlessly empty.
As I sit on a frozen peak.
Surveying my view.
I know before seasons change I’ll be dead as can be.
