Greed Bell

It all comes crumbling down.
As if an earthquake had shattered nearby ground.
Debris left to rise and fall.
Float on currents without a call.
This is the state our world occupies.
Built on a system that’s old and dried.
Inflexibility, never made to last.
One day soon we’ll return to being the same caste.

Demolition will be brought to the fore.
Once that happens all your heads will be sore.
From all the slamming against countless rocks.
That will be the greatest of shocks.
As you can’t recover with only a clap.
Cause everything will have collapsed.
Can’t you see it? I know I can.
Before too long everything will be utterly broken.

System not meant to endure.
Exploit masses and keep them raw.
Begging, pleading, digging for scraps.
Meanwhile one percent become fattest of cats.

Money corrupts, so don’t pretend that it’s a lie.
Economies are teetering soon to say goodbye.
For these foundations were made of little more than sticks.
Its why this civilisation is starting to list.
Yet we all pin our hope on more lies.
About fixing institutions that can’t otherwise survive.
Though are they not what created this hell?
Yes, hence why its reform or listen to the last chime of this greed bell.
