Run the wire from my brain.
It really can be quite a drain,
Upon my will from these eons passed.
Its what I get because I continue to last.
Not frozen or having been wrapped in steel.
Rather I maintained my naturally fleshy feel.
Modern science rejuvenated all I have ever been.
Forty thousands times and I’m still kicking.
Watching as each and every galaxy goes.
Everything else still has its death throes.
But quite miraculously not humanity.
These advances fixed us permanently.
Led us down a brighter path.
No longer consumed by our wrath.
Peace did flourish, as did we.
You would be right if you didn’t bet that way see.
As truth be told nor did I.
Its why I still find it remarkable we did fly.
Venture out amongst the stars.
Not to conquer all or to make it ours.
Rather to gaze upon, teach and learn.
It was and remains a marvelous turn.
Yet you might be wondering why the wire.
Well from time to time a copy might expire.
So a refresh keeps us all backed up.
Ensures we’ll never be anything but a full cup.
Alas I have rambled for quite some time.
How about we watch this expiry as we sip some fine wine?
