Dance around this maple tree.
In this party of only you and me.
Smiles so wide we might go mad.
But would that really be so bad?
Notes tolling in our ears.
Expunging all of our fears.
Spreading cheer for us to absorb.
While with our hands we do applaud.
Every fibre is in a swing.
No part wishes to remain unmoving.
And so I sway left while you go right.
This feels likes its going to be the greatest night,
Of our lives as we are living it.
No wish to let it stall.
So we keep grooving to this beat.
Forged by music not from a sheet.
Rhythm strong and jovial in tone.
Under these stars none of us are alone.
That is why we continue to writhe.
For it makes us all feel the most alive.
