Remember Me

Remember me when I fly into the flames.
Calling out for justice to never be undone.
Battles having raged my entire life.
Misery has become a stage for too many.
With hearts shattering like glass hit by a stone.
For all these hopes that now feel so alone.
I cry these tears I wish would be the last.
Cracking from what might come next.
Too much tragedy.

Never yield to madness as it spreads deep.
Restart these engines made for peace.
Hanging by a thread as children scream.
Generalisation can do great harm.
Staggering against these storm winds as they howl.
Fighting to keep rather than control.
Pandering won’t fix flaws in the fore.
Hate should not be spread here anymore.
Loss is now a norm.

Electrify your heart with those you love.
Welcome whether from below or above.
Destruction can never lead to enrichment.
Massacres bring about our failing light.
Sacrifice is born from others lack of using sight.
Pushing back is the route to real change.
Hold you courage as if it has physical form.
Scream how you wish things to be.
No more depravity!
