Undercover

You’re pretty to the eyes.
Pity you’re rotten and dark on the inside.
Twisted sense that every one should serve you.
Destroying hope as if you deserve to.
With a smile hiding a liars tongue.
Look appealing as you prepare to sink a knife in.

Conscience to the fore.
Beneath the surface you’re filled with war.
Calling truth a lie to get your own selfish way.
Desperate to loom over everybody.
Causing damage as you please.
All should bow or be made to live on their knees.

Smell like a flower in bloom.
What lies within is a psychotic narcissist loon.
Theft to you is what you have not had bestowed.
Others freedom is something you thirst to erode.
All while pretending to be sweet.
Flashing those pearly whites to all those you greet.

Face filled with beauty.
Malice is what you bathe in truthfully.
Twisting friends and family to get out in front.
Don’t care who other than you bares the brunt,
Of actions that were you but framed on them.
This is cyclical without end.

You’re pretty to the eyes.
Pity you’re rotten and dark on the inside.
Twisted sense that every one should serve you.
Destroying hope as if you have the rights to.
With a pristine smile hiding a serpent tongue.
Look innocent as you prepare to execute others for fun.

Service Betrayed

Returning home from a distant shore.
Everything once owned is no more.
Feeling broken, depressed and seething.
Sleeping rough all while grieving.

Only possessions are about my person.
These discharge papers mean nothing.
Starving I beg for scraps on a corner.
No one realises I fought for their future.

Flashes of violence keep me awake.
PTSD is what they call this state.
But no one cares now I have no uniform.
I am simply another blight to civil society.

But if you’re so civil why am I left to rot?
Can’t remember warm food or comfort.
Instead I taste only mould and dirt.
Faith in humanity is dead and buried.

Eight years and nothing has changed.
Promises broken for we have been forgot.
Defended you with our lives.
Lost brothers and sisters only to be cut off.

On Black Wings

Murdered in a brutal sweep and clear.
If only they’d known I’d be back in a year.
From a crow tap tap tapping upon my grave.
To enact vengeance for their violent ways.

Painted like a dark angel of death.
Fear will fill their final moments.
No redemption arc just to be crystal clear.
This is an eye for an eye kind of situation.

Tin Tin was the first one to go.
His knives were fun to play with though.
And he got the point in the end.
Splayed out with daggers in his chest.

Next had to be the rapest prick.
Funboy who had a bit of a morphine habit.
Wound to his leg didn’t change his demise.
An overdose of supreme size.

Strapped to the driver’s chair.
T-bird was barely able to mutter and stare.
Knew who I was but it didn’t change a thing.
He loved flames and they give him a licking.

Three down only one to go.
Skank would soon be dispatched too.
But not before a king’s court got gutted.
Knowing the true evil didn’t save Skank from going out a window.

In a church that had been left to rot
Grange was not one I shot.
But Top Dollar didn’t get run right through.
While Myca lay twisted and eyeless too.

And with that my deeds were done.
Climbed back into my grave.
Shelly waiting for me on the other side.
Vengeance once and for all paid.

Collision Of Lines

Knock at the door,
I welcome you in.
This dark freezing night is one nobody should be facing.

Warm yourself by the fire.
Stoked like a funeral pyre.
You’re blue in the face so stay as long as you need.

I sit to rest weary bones.
We chat as you thaw.
Your once grey face returning to its natural tones.

With comfort attained,
I offer you hot soup.
You graciously accept this bowl of simple food.

Night grows harsher,
I offer you bed and board.
This acceptance you give is as familiar as I am old.

Night turns to dawn,
When I announce you as me.
You admit with no hesitation as you reveal everything casually.

Smile on my aging face.
Pleased to see my youth again.
I offer only broad advice for you to take back in time.

With dawn now day,
We go our separate ways.
I bid you a good future as you offer me happiness for the time I have left.

Nu Gen

Take the parts and melt them down.
Old generations only wear a frown.
Looking down on what is to come next.
Judgement rendered before they can walk.
Branding ready and waiting to be impressed.
Changing views has been convicted.

Nu gen.
Replacement for everything.
Singled out from the crowd.
No more comment or content.

That which has been doesn’t have to come again.
Fresh molds are possible in this engine.
Building a machine that is not a carbon copy.
Cyborg mentality fixated on killing ingenuity.
Paralysing those who wish for progress.
Firestorm when conformity is not adhered too.

Nu gen.
Time for reinvention.
Breaking down what came before.
Fashioning a revolutionary call.

Same old doesn’t help movement forward.
Stagnation has become every moment.
Treading water in life and society.
Watching as our world fades away.
This nu gen wants to remedy that disease.
Fix what is broken for everybody.
Don’t wear them down and reshape their molds.
Give them your support and let change flow.

Nu gen.
Bring this solution.
Join them.
Embrace evolution!

At Your Back

Scrape across the window pane.
Haunting sounds come to strike again.
Feeling terror rise from somewhere too close by.
Tendrils appearing to dance on the surface of your mind.

Gripped by a death stare.
Can’t escape what is not there.
Paralysed while lying still.
Down to the depths you will take this.

Knock upon this fragile shell.
Desecration rings like a tolling bell.
Upon the crooked altar this future is written.
No hope to feel this state known as smitten.

Gripped by a choke hold.
Can’t escape until all is told.
Paralysed without sight.
Down to the depths you’ll feel fright.

Writhing in cold sweats.
Begging to get out of this.
But the more you struggle the worse it gets.
Until in the end it all comes crashing…

Down on your pretty head.
Fracturing your every moment.
Spilling out secrets that should be kept.
These pieces of you now used as weapons.

Gripped by your own hell.
Can’t escape to be well.
Paralysed and feeling small.
Down in the depths you won’t hear anything at all.

Slimy sense that good is bad.
Convinced yourself that happiness cannot be had.
Spent so long staring into the void,
You think light is something that corrupts.

We your friends offer our hands.
Take them and we’ll help you stand.
Its the least that we can do.
After all you’d do it for us too.

So don’t give up, you hear us say.
You can make it through the next day.
And we will be right alongside.
There is space for more than one on life’s unpredictable ride.

Drinking It In

Sat alone in a darkened room.
Music blaring to take me to my happy place.
There is no knocking me out of this.
Smile on my face as the drums pound away.
Bass twins with it so effortlessly.
Chugging guitar rips at the fore.
With vocals harsh and perfectly raw.

Reading in the starkest light.
Journeying into worlds that are not my own.
Descriptions really setting the tone.
Tears in my eyes as characters fail to survive.
Clearly they are on a one way ride.
Yet the protagonists keep hope alive.
Few things are better than feeling a story strive.

Figuring out where to go next.
Options innumerable as I write this.
Nothing beats having multiple avenues.
Never forcing where I might go.
Tracing my way wherever I may wish.
For me this is all a gift.
One I revel in regardless of its outcome.

From Apprentice To Disciple

Close your eyes and feel the flow.
Angers rising along with your need to go.
Little twitches betray your intentions.
I grin knowing what sits in your hand.
Serrated blade you want to plunge in deep.
Your breathing suggests you are too weak.
Still I prepare for what will follow.
Ready to accept that you can’t compete.
When you strike its perfectly swift.
Target downed as if they were destined to crumple at your command.

Still your thoughts and focus on sound.
Calm mind will give you a steady grip.
Fifteen targets down without a hitch.
You are a weapon to be wielded.
Vicious in how you show no remorse.
Regardless the obstacles you stay the course.
Its as if you were born for this purpose.
Pleased that I brought you into this.
Educated you in the ways of bloodletting.
Gave you a direction in this sea of mortals always forgetting.

New Casualty

You think you’ve seen my grief.
How about I instill in you a new belief?
One removed from your treachery.
Sickened by your depravity.
Always hunting for innocence to burn.
What you cannot corrupt you obsessively spurn.

Jokes on you I won’t shatter.
Prepared to fight you like a man possessed.
Step one foot in this circle and you’ll be laid out like the rest.

Hate spreads in your heart.
Demonic wish to crush all the rest.
Idiosyncrasies fixated upon a cross.
Oppressive rules to suffocate the free.
This is your personality.
Gutting all those who do not follow.
But peer a little deeper and the real you is cowering.
Damaged goods on the offensive.
Lashing out to keep everyone away.

Ruined joy just to escape from me.
But I’m not the monster who smiles continually.
Deciding to burn every bridge ever made.
All while counting your no’s.
Pushing all these mistakes on me.
Won’t twist me like you’ve done to yourself heartlessly.

Pain stapled to your chest.
I wave goodbye cause I’m not into any of this.
Seeing your truth I throw in the towel to look for something else.

Won’t be your new casualty.
No, no, not me.
I reject wholeheartedly.
To being…
To living…
To becoming…
To accepting…
Myself as your…
New casualty!

Til Death Does In My Heart

Til death does in my heart I will do my part.
Standing beside you with every fiber I can muster.

Saw your face from across that ballroom.
Made me smirk to have caught your attention.
Never thought it would be more than a glance.
Instead we crossed the floor to one another.
Locked our lips and dived into this feeling.
Ignoring every one who swirled all around us.
Might as well have been the only ones present at all.

Til death does in my heart I will try to be smart.
Holding you forever even if the god wave comes.

Taste your smell and I refuse to let it drift.
I’d follow you from where we met into an abyss.
Still thinking like I’m independent even if I wish to end it.
Wanting us to be joined at our hips forever more.
Pushing fears aside to make this dream a reality.
Offering you my permanent and undying loyalty.
A gesture you didn’t squander as you handed me the same.

Til death does in my heart you and I will not part.
Words that weigh heavy now as I search for you among the stars.

How did we part in this ocean of our own?
Confused by events that stopped us being alone.
For it was never what we wanted so,
How is it that this is what came to pass?
I haven’t a clue and that frustrates me as much as you.
Spoken like family across this expanse.
Communication possible but little else than that.

Til death…
Does in my weary heart.
Til death…
We will run across mountains and sail over seas.
Nothing can stop us from being linked eternally.
For you are ying to my yang.
Opposites but not at all.
And so we battle to be united once more.

Til death does in my heart I refuse to settle for less than you and I!
