In Our Blood

The dream is dead!
The dream is gone!
Phantoms haunt every single one.
Halls filled with malice and regret.
Screams echo from shattered concrete.
Remnants of a once prospering land.
Squandered, we sullied every scrap as if planned.
Selfish, stupid, bitter, barren.
Our wake is disease and oblivion.
Practiced in our putrid fashion.
Brandishing but lacking compassion.

Thirst for more than is on offer.
So we embark on senseless slaughter.
Violence is our blood.
It scorches our world for good!

Future is on sale.
Prosperity is a fail.
Ghouls are what we have become.
Mindless in our desperate affliction.
Lost deep within this lightless cell.
Peace is not something we can compel.
Betrayal is our favoured state of living.
Pathetic, weak, needy, self serving.
Every moment is a living nightmare.
Surround by our arrogant despair.
Soon there will be nothing left here!

Thirst for more than is on offer.
So we embark on senseless slaughter.
Violence is our blood.
It scorches our world for good!

Discontinue

Calm as a crystal lake.
From these hours, solace I did take.
No noise to distract and devalue.
Nor cries of: I shall challenge you!

For war is weary, as now am I.
To such madness I declare goodbye.
Wave farewell and burn to ash.
Never return to its violent crash.

Death is dreary, weathers my soul.
Rather spend eternity in a shoal.
Treading water barely afloat.
Than once more ingest old roles and choke.

So snd me an antitode to my fears.
I can no longer serve amongst my peers.
For brutality is all they worship.
I’ve felt that poison manipulate.
No more!

Never again will I bathe in it.
Wallow in the severity.
Drink from the depravity.
Seal my heart in a cage.
Barter away my humanity.
The price is wrong.
I valued nothing.

Your royalty is cheap.
Will incomplete.
Facsimile of a soul.
Screw your obsessive control!

Light In The Haze

Feel the beat of a pulse.
Coarsing, it strikes in bolts.
Relentless, repetitive, resurgent.
Don’t dampen the joy you felt.
Awaken and proclaim.
Carve your future!

Weave beauty into shape.
Never will it need to break.
For you are the master.
Mistress will not turn her.
Fashion and fabricate.
Leader heaven sent!

Practiced and powered.
Ignore chants of coward.
For serenity is hard fought.
They’re busy being bought.
Satisfaction sold for change.
They are definition of derange!

Guard your spark.
Light every crevice.
Illumination through dedication.
Not violent suffocation.
For you are the sun.
Stars are your brethren.
Blaze while they dither.
Soon they will shrivel, wither.

Pounding rhythm in your chest.
Now and forever you are best.
Perfection birthed,
Here you stand.
Light of the world.
Cleansing the land.

Passion swarmed in petals.
Ignore the brandished metals.
Focus on future.
Heal with warmth and suture.
Love banishes winter.
Nothing will sink ya.

Treasure not trigger.
Your legacy much bigger.
Seeker of truth.
They tried to burn proof.
Rise and take your position.
End will come to their derision.

Grand City

Grand mega city one.
Hub of forced communion.
Towers that crack the sky.
The higher up you are the quicker you die.
Last refuge for our fallen race.
Every sight bears remnants of our disgrace.
With choking air beyond the bubble.
Life is a permanent unforgiving struggle.
Clasped in irons that bear a name.
Reminders of collective slavery and shame.
As corporations rule over this overpacked realm.
Pass the fields and you’ll soon be gone.

Crumbling technology kingdom.
Once meant to serve as our liberation.
Reality, its a massive prison.
Some choose the swifter end for conclusion.
In a city where brutality reigns the dimension.
Brandish pain and anger against fellow human.
Rotted shell of what was once a beacon.
No one is left to chant against the insanity.
Meek and mild, waiting for the final fade.
Only then will our collective debt be paid.
For happy endings are pure works of fiction.
Why we suffer this relentless affliction.

Few remain to cry and scream.
If only this hell was but a dream.
Not a truth, thats just the final dregs of hope.
Upon them those who remain will choke.
Trapped within the halls pf our demise.
So few you can no longer hear the cries.
Praying died long ago but some attempt to beg.
No deity here to offer a passage somewhere else.
And so we wait for our last breath.
With it will be ultimate death.
Species cast into the lost books of past.
Time in this reality went by in a flash.

Savage Suits

Alternate history lives today!
For they’ve tried to take truth away.
Rewrite events to rise as heroes.
Honestly they are but zeroes.
Bigots of the highest order.

Remove bits that cast some shade.
Make sure those with voices are paid.
It might seem mad but it is real.
Everything they have they did steal.
Liars at the pinnacle table.

Call them kings, call them leaders.
They are nothing but deceivers.
Dressed in suits and wearing smiles.
Rather be left with ravenous crocodiles.
For talk is cheap and its all they do.
There is nothing that they won’t screw.
And if you stand against, speak to rally.
You’ll end up buried down in the valley.
You might doubt but should heed these words.
They are not at all absurd.

Timelines manipulated by their decay.
To make problems simply go away.
Just not through chats and civility.
Always by using murder and brutality.
For they are true savages.

Anti-Perk

I press the pen unto the page.
Will I get anything worth rage?
Seems doubtful I have to say.
Stupid block I can’t erase.

Now go.
Get your head out the flow.
Scream into the sky and see,
If what you wish is really what it should be.
I can’t say for certain.
All I know is, I am hurting.

Watch the clock go tick, tick tock and know.
What came before is not guaranteed and so,
Reap rewards and sow the seeds.
Across the continents we bleed.
No more time for all the clacking.
Speak right now or face whats lacking.

Into.
Separate from the wave.
Bark and hope to see the day.
I know bleak is a part of me.
Kick the callous disease and pray it works.
Surrounded by endless anti-perks.
This is truth wrapped in lie, now i wave goodbye.

I press the pen unto the page.
Will I get anything worth rage?
Seems in limbo I must admit.
Selfish period where I can’t commit.

State, Position One

There’s a point where outrage will not come.
Its not acceptance its more like, I’m done.
Can’t let it bother me no more.
If I did it would be, open sore.

Shock is, for the naïve.
Adulthood, has brought disease.
Desensitised, ’til I’m numb.
What a state to call one!

Fractitous was once a cause.
Now its obey and adhere to laws.
Not state made but society imposed.
Feel as though ours hearts have been closed.

Shock is, for the naïve.
Adulthood, has brought disease.
Desensitised, ’til I’m numb.
What a state to call one!

Miss the days when I felt riled up.
Ready to fight from dawn ’til dusk.
But those days have become few and far between.
Its not age its constant battering.
For when all you do is lose.
There comes a point where you then must choose.
Not quite there but seem to be getting close.
When it arrives I might simply take the dose.
For an easy and secure-ish life.
Not revolutionary or burning bright.
For time is something no soul can cheat.
And currently my body and mind have grown weak.

Shock is, for the naïve.
Adulthood, has brought disease.
Desensitised, ’til I’m numb.
What a state to call one!

Shock is, for the naïve.
Adulthood, has brought disease.
Desensitised, ’til I’m now numb.
What a state to call number one!

Single Digit

Taking time to mold my casket.
Still I can’t get past it.
Symbol of my mortality.
Why did you gift this millstone to me?

I don’t know, it seemed so right.
Why are you always looking to fight?
Are the words I would say.
If I didn’t think you’d go ape at me.

Always saying I’m the cause.
Since we were kids you shouted the odds.
So sick of listening to this drone.
And so I’ll ask, do you ever not moan?

Rich from you for you’re no better.
I get it verbally as well as in each letter.
With the blah blah blah on repeat.
Anyone would think you never sleep.

Oh shut your mouth and listen well.
You talk as though you’re something swell.
But we’re not living in the nineteen forties.
Second decade past the noughties.

How about we part for good?
I agree I think we really should.
Then pack your bags and I’ll pack mine.
‘Til we burn in hell sounds real fine.
So I’ll go that way, while I’ll go this.
Separation has been pure bliss.
And to this day we’ve never reconnected.
I for one think that’s its super splendid.

Tale of two warring halves.
Neither could live alongside that.
Like ying and yang but in reverse.
To one another they were a curse.
Yet truth be told they never did split.
For they’re sections of a single digit.

Sway

I want a party while you crave pain.
Guess I’ll be ignoring all you bring.
For when events get real I crank the sound.
Time, right now, to get down.

Sway with the riff.
Bang of your head.
Feel the beat.
Get to your feet.
Party!

Shout some verbal diarrohea claims.
To me its all so pointless and lame.
But not gonna let you harsh my buzz.
Regardless of whether you are my cuz.

So sway with the riff.
Keep the nod of your head.
Feel the beat.
Get on your feet.
Party!

Never gonna stop.
Never gonna drop.
Never gonna lie.
Never gonna not try.

For this is my and I’ll keep for good.
Couldn’t care less if I should.
As these actions speak louder than words.
Its why I’m still being heard.
As I…

Sway with the riff.
Give a nod of my head.
Feeling the beat.
Bouncing on my feet.
Par-ar-ar-arty.
Party!

Need Parity

Focus is not cutting through.
Its all noise inside my head.
If only it would stop for a few.
Stop pounding without me being dead.

Fog in the brain.
I’m not insane.
Batten down the hatches.
Stop with the game.
This is not a ruse.
Wish I could refuse.
Maybe then I would,
Spew some clarity.

Misaligned with the sands.
Slip away but don’t ascend.
Wake upon these forgotten lands.
Feels as though my will did rend.

Fog in the brain.
I’m not insane.
Batten down the hatches.
Stop with the game.
This is not a ruse.
Wish I could refuse.
Maybe then I would,
Spew some clarity.

Dosing strong to cure my ill.
Not a solution, is the whisper.
Voice so loud I might lose all will.
Truth is I sorely miss her.

Fog in the brain.
I’m not insane.
Batten down the hatches.
Stop with the game.
This is not a ruse.
Wish I could refuse.
Maybe then I would,
Spew some clarity.

Clear the way and fix the cause.
Twisted mind crushed under rock.
A doctrine of how to breed flaws.
It all stems from that harrowing shock.

Fog in the brain.
I’m not insane.
Batten down the hatches.
Stop with the game.
This is not a ruse.
Wish I could refuse.
Maybe then I would,
Spew some clarity.
I need some parity.
Freedom from savagery.
Please just let me be!
