Always criticising how I live my life
Telling me how I have no way out
That I should just get on the wheel
Run in circles until my fate is sealed
But I refuse to heed your words
Spoken by a wolf among the herd
You just want to keep your throne
Watch as I crumble to the ground
All so you can taunt me endlessly
Remind me of my debt to you

I’ll do life on my terms
My days are just for me
So keep your talons far away

Mocking as I chose my own direction
All because you get no mention
No more input into who I am
Watching and hoping I fall down
Delighting in what you think will follow
I won’t let you make me hollow
Try your tricks but you’ll fail
Your disguises are too obvious
