Hiding In Plain Sight

You will never see,
Darkness inside of me.
Hold a mirror over my form.
Keep this glare from revealing I’m torn.
As madness overcomes my desire.
Tired but continuing to play a role.
Damning violence while being out of control.

Cracked like glass.
I’m not coming back.
These breaks are permanent.
And so I hide how I’m irrelevant.

Menace in decree.
Split off all humility.
Empty shell puppeting form.
Little left of myself to mourn.
By shadows cast beneath these rays.
And so this dance I continue with.
I’ll offer all of the small amount I can give.

Shattered like stone.
Hence why I roam.
Bonds no longer able to comfort.
Forever will be separate and independent.
