Men have tried to break you.
Grab a hold and shake ’til you can’t stand up.
Cause they’re all bullies in a light show.
Trying to pretend that they’re tough.
And so you aim.
Once you’ve taken in the view.
Grit your teeth.
Then make them all go away with a single clean shot.
Run and hide like rats flee a sinking ship.
All that bravado has gone to shit.
These fools have tried to taunt you.
But they all get a cold hard stare that chills their bones.
Take a swig for Dutch courage.
Only to remember that they can’t go alone.
And so you aim.
Once you’ve taken in the view.
Grit your teeth.
Then make them all go away with a too wide smile.
Run and hide like locusts meeting pesticide.
All that arrogance can’t save them tonight.
Men have tried to break you.
Many have tried to berate you.
Men have tried and failed to shatter your dreams.
So now they cower when they hear others screams!
Men have…
Learned to stay away.
Men have…
Stopped their stupidity.
Men have…
Stepped back from thinking they know best.
But if another makes an attempt he’ll be bodied next.
