What Is A Cure?

Here today and gone tomorrow.
Languish in this place so hollow.
As I lay a kiss upon this searing star.
Falling short rather than going far.
Without a source to fill my cup.
Down again in a flooded rut.
Gasping when I dare to breathe.
Could do with being granted some reprieve.
From this pattern that saps my soul.
Detaching me from all forms of control.
While onlookers stand without a care.
This pattern on the verge of embracing despair.

What is the cure?

Saddened shell looms in dark alone.
In my dying flesh I feel like a clone.
Observing from high and oh so distant.
Treated as though I am a miscreant.
Drained of my senses.
Trapped in forms of past tenses.
Retreading ground that is crumbling away.
Isolation has locked me out perpetually.
An hour glass that refuses to cease.
Every hour I wake with suffocating grief.
Knot in my stomach tightening more.
My existence has become a planet sized sore.

Where is my peace?
Will it ever come?
Is there a cure for what I’m feeling?

Losing substance in my reflection.
No matter my movement I have no direction.
Floating in a void I call purgatory.
A waiting room singularity.
Lost within emotions that won’t relent.
All my energy has been spent.
While hands grasp at my extended fringes.
I am nowhere and everywhere all at once.
Not sure what is and is not true.
I hear at voice but it’s neither me or you.
Just a ripple flowing from out the ether.
Defeated I surrender accepting there’s no peace here.

Acceptance is the key to a cure.

Stir with a start convinced I heard a lie.
For I am alone devoid of sanity or ally.
Incredulity erupts as a twin stands in my face.
Smile dispels all of my oceans of disgrace.
Then when a hand rests on my shoulder I cry.
Forgiveness has been offered in by darkest side.
Weight off my back fills me with peace.
This is how it feels to be filled with relief.
As all around the void turns to view.
Didn’t think this would make me feel brand new.
A fresh start without all the baggage.
Time to embrace and live no matter what comes.
